The brolly system is manufactured from top quality Hydra-Tex material. This has been specially developed by the team at JRC in order to provide anglers with a supremely waterproof shelter that can withstand the very worst of the UK’s weather – as well as the nastiest continental rain, sleet, and snow systems. Hydra-Tex has a hydrostatic head rating of 20,000mmm, which is the highest current rating awarded to fabrics – you really can’t get a material which is more water-tight than this. What’s more, the JRC Extreme TX Brolly System also features taped seams throughout. Seams are often the weak point in any waterproof’s armoury, as they create small holes in the fabric and can allow water to leak through. However, taped seams reduce this risk to an absolute minimum, ensuring that you don’t have to worry about water incursion through the seams of the JRC Extreme TX Brolly System. The zips of a waterproof are another weak point of most bivvy and brolly systems, but this offering from JRC shows no such weakness. The zips are all protected by storm baffles, preventing rain incursion in all but the most extreme scenarios.

As well as being waterproof, Hydra-Tex is also incredibly breathable. To further reduce the risk of condensation, the brolly comes with a condensation guard. This acts as a mini second skin, which adds a little additional heat retention, too, as a bonus in the colder months.

With a width of 190cm and a depth of 250cm, you’ll comfortably be able to fit your bedchair in lengthways. This allows you to tackle an overnight session with confidence – adding yet more versatility to your angling setup. The brolly system also has an impressive amount of headroom and it is 130cm high. This is thanks to the space saver plunger, which keeps the spokes of the brolly well away from your head and allowing you to sit up tall without worrying that you’re going to knick your head.

The brolly comes with a full zip on solid front panel. This is fitted with two large windows, which come with a mozzie mesh option, as well as a central front door. This door has the option of a solid green front, a mozzie mesh option, and a clear PVC version for rainy days when you still want to let a little light into the brolly. The JRC Extreme TX Brolly System also comes with a full zip in mozzie mesh panel, for those extremely warm days and continental angling when you want airflow but you don’t want to risk nasty bug bites. There are additional storm bars on the brolly for use on windy days to give the brolly more stability and structure.
